Shelter presents: DECODE
About the artists
As one of the most in-demand techno DJs of our time, Ben Klock has helped shape the techno scene to become what it is today, his name closely associated with Berlin’s legendary club Berghain since 2005. Other notable successes in his career include his fabric 66 compilation in 2012, BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the Year award in 2015, and not to mention his own label Klockworks, founded in 2006 with releases from DVS1, Stef Mendesidis, Sterac, Etapp Kyle, and many more. Klockworks quickly became a synonym for niche, high quality Techno, and since then, Klock started his own event series PHOTON, a concept show that blends light, architecture and music together in a unique spectacle which has given legendary shows in world-class venues such as Printworks London and the Gashouder here in Amsterdam.
With over 25 years of collective experience under their belt, Paul Boex and Dave Miller are skilled selectors who go above and beyond to find a fitting record for the right moment. While releasing steadily on their Dynamic Reflection label, the duo is known for playing and producing driving, pulsing and hypnotic techno. Abstract Division played multiple times in renowned clubs such as Berghain and Tresor, and are regularly hosting their DECODE series in Rotterdam in the meantime. Never sitting still, Abstract Division are a true techno force with one foot in the ’90s and another in the future. We are very excited to welcome them back to the Shelter booth for another legendary DECODE event.
