About the artists
One of the most promising young DJs on the circuit right now, Elliot Schooling is part of a new generation of artists making waves in London. First breaking through with the well-received EP ‘Disco Riddims’ via Phil Weeks’ Robsoul, Schooling is set to release further material this summer on labels including BeeYou Records & Appetite’s own imprint. His groove-laden sound is in high demand and has taken him to London’s best dance floors and beyond, including memorable sets at fabric, 93 Feet East, Village Underground, DC10, Lab11 and KOKO — along with international shows all across the continent.
Maqossa’s vibe is Dutch with a touch, a grooving & thumping sound that guarantees to get you moving, mixing classic house with that funky rhythm, his focus is on always creating a thriving party atmosphere. The years have seen him rising fast with sets at Burning Man, BPM Festival, Sisyphos, Strafwerk Festival, and many more. During the pandemic era, Maqossa wanted to create something special, so from one illegal photo studio party came the birth of his own record label and event series that he had to name after the explosive movement. Now with his festival, club nights featuring heavy hitters such as Archie Hamilton and Richy Ahmed, and a record label under the Qlub umbrella, this explorative adventure has grown into something special.
